The New Year has seen me somewhat down on life and everything that's going on. Work is work, and it never changes. I had hope of moving into another role starting in February, but then another voice engineer found out and is now trying to take the position that was offered to solely me. So another 6 months of bleak Select lies ahead. I have customers that hate me because I can't spend 8 hours a week with them...but with 30 customers, and some of them spending money and other spending nothing at all, how does that work out? After 6 months in this role, I'm still trying to figure out the right combination. I have peaks and valleys, last year was a peak, this year has been a valley...a gorge, perhaps the Grand Canyon of work enthusiasm.
But, I'm getting over it slowly.
The other big deal that the new year brought to my door was a lot of travel, and with it, inherant challenges of not being home and being away from my life. I'm going just about everywhere this year-- not counting the unknown trips for work I'll have to take in there somewhere. Seriously, check it out.
